Ayawaso West Wuogon NPP parliamentary aspirant Samuel Owusu Amankwaa has called on party members to remain calm after the constituency's scheduled executive elections could not be held due to a pending court process.

He described the development as unfortunate but urged party members to respect the rule of law and allow the appropriate legal and party processes to take their course.

"The inability of our constituency to hold the scheduled Constituency Executive Elections today due to the pending court process is unfortunate," he said in a statement dated July 11, 2026.

He also encouraged party faithful to avoid comments or actions that could create divisions among members.

"I encourage all party faithful to exercise patience, avoid actions or comments that may create division, and allow the appropriate legal and party processes to take their course.

"This is only a temporary setback. I am confident that, through unity, discipline and mutual respect, our constituency will emerge stronger and more focused on the greater interest of our party," he added.
