Veronica Asantewaa Yeboah has been elected as the first female Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency.

Her election on July 11, 2026, marks a historic milestone for the constituency, as she has etched her name in history as the first female to occupy that position in the constituency.

Speaking to the media after the constituency elections, Asantewaa Yeboah expressed confidence in the party's chances in the 2028 elections and called for unity among members.

"I pray we all come together and then work together and win the election in 2028. My people believe in me. They know me. They know I can do the work, and I have what it takes to do the work. That is why they voted for me," she said.

According to results released by the Electoral Commission (EC), Asantewaa Yeboah polled 1,102 votes to defeat three other candidates.

Desmond Asamoah Korankye obtained 613 votes, Francis Tay secured 188 votes, while Rejoice Yibor garnered 154 votes.

A total of 2,069 votes were cast, of which 2,057 were valid and 12 were rejected.

Asantewaa Yeboah previously served as the constituency's Deputy Youth Organiser before contesting and winning the top youth position.

According to her she plans to strengthen the youth wing and unite members for the 2028 election.
