Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko, and former Chief of Staff, Kojo Mpiani, have paid a courtesy call on Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to congratulate him and to chart the way forward for the 2028 general elections.

The visit, described as cordial and symbolic, brought together key figures of the party’s past and present leadership in a show of unity and goodwill.

Both Afoko and Mpiani are longstanding members of the NPP and have played significant roles in the party’s development over the years.

Their appearance to personally extend congratulations to Dr Bawumia is being viewed by party observers as a gesture of solidarity and support.

Though details of their discussions were not immediately disclosed, the meeting was understood to have focused on encouragement and well-wishes for Dr Bawumia.

The engagement highlights continuing efforts among senior party figures to maintain cohesion and strengthen relationships within the party’s ranks.
