Agona East NPP elects new executives

Agona Duakwa, (C/R), Nov 19, GNA - Mr Dennis Armah-Frempong, former District Chief Executive for Agona East District has been elected unopposed as Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP). Mr Kojo Onumah Anaman, a party activist was also elected as first Vice Chairman with Mr Emmanuel T. Obuobi and Mr Emmanuel Acquah as Second Vice Chairman and Secretary respectively.

The Assistant Secretary went to Mr Isaac Intsiful, Mr Albert Quainoo, Treasurer and Alhaji Kwesi Bukari, Organiser. Ms Diana Okorewaa Anaman got the position of Women Organiser whilst the Youth Organiser went to Mr Harrison Mensah. Mr Kwamena Duncan, Central Regional Secretary of the party sworn the newly elected Officials into office and called for unity and understanding among the rank and file of the party in the Agona East branch of NPP to ensure peace and stability.

He said disunity, internal wrangling and power struggling must cease to enable the party put in place an effective strategies to win more supporters. Mr John Kwesi Agyabeng, MP for Agona East said the election of the new officers would enable the party to win more favour and sympathy from the electorate especially floating voters in the constituency. He noted that the current economic hardship facing Ghanaians was due to poor administration of the nation by the ruling National Democratic Congress and urged the new executives to work hard to wrestle power from them. Mr Armah-Frempong, pledged to unite all supporters of the NPP and work as a team. 19 Nov. 09
