NDC Party Members told to behave maturely with Political Opponents

Navrongo(U/E), July 6, GNA - Mr Mark Woyongo, the Upper East Regional Minster, has appealed to members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to conduct themselves maturely when dealing with their political opponents so as to attract more supporters to the party. He said this during an election held by the Navrongo branch of Tertiary Education Institutions Networks (TEIN) of the NDC in the Saint John Bosco's College of Education at Navrongo.

Mr Woyongo stressed the need for members of the party especially TEIN members to strive hard to bring more people into the party's fold by being tolerant and accommodating to dissenting views. "I believe strongly that by exhibiting these virtues we would be able to convince others to join our party".

He said the government was putting structures in place to address problems facing the country and asked people to have patience. Mr. Woyongo said the government had placed premium on education and was doing everything possible to improve the salaries and conditions of service for teachers.

Alhaji Baba Alhassan, the Navrongo Constituency Chairman of the Party, appealed to TEIN to start campaigning towards Election 2012. A 10-member executive was elected with Mr. Robert Ayesiying as the president and was sworn into office by Mr Woyongo. 06 July 09
