B/A NPP Restrategises For Elections 2008

Space FM, Sunyani- The seventh in the series of Strategic Review Wokshops for Constituency Executives of the ruling NPP in the Brong-Ahafo Region, has been held in Sunyani.

The workshop which was under the theme "Consolidating Our Gains', aimed at equiping and sharpening the skills of the constituency executives in moving the party forward.

Addressing the participants, the national Chairman of the NPP, Mr Peter Mac Manu, debunked allegations by the opposition NDC that the party plans to rig the 2008 general elections.

He said it is the Electoral Commission which has the mandate to conduct and declare elections in the country and the NPP which believes and practices true multiparty democracy, would not do anything to undermine the country's democracy.

The national chairman therfore challenged the constituency executives to map up adequate mechanisms to ensure the party wins convincingly in 2008.He also asked them to address all problems affecting the party's internal structures to ensure a united front.

He pointed out the NPP is the best organised political party in Africa and would for a long time adhere to the principles of multi party democracy to ensure the total transformation of the country.

Mr Mac Manu noted that the NPP is the only party that has given equal opportunities to women at decision making levels in the country and urged them to vote massively for the party in the 2008 general elections.

He pointed out that the pary has put in place adequate mechanisms to win all the 24 parliamentary seats in the Brong-Ahafo region and urged the executives to maitain the momentum.
