The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on December 3, 2025, unveiled its newly amended constitution at a colourful ceremony held at the party's headquarters in Accra.
The event drew party faithful, executives, and prominent figures who hailed the amendments as a milestone in strengthening the party's internal democracy.
Among the distinguished personalities present were Professor Aaron Mike Ocquaye, former Speaker of Parliament, and Hackman Owusu Agyemang, veteran politician and party elder.
The amended constitution, according to Frank Davies, Chairman of the NPP's Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee and the committee's leader, addresses the structural and organisational challenges that emerged during the 2024 elections.
It also introduces reforms to enhance accountability, improve grassroots participation, and ensure smoother decision-making within the party.
He described the amendments as a forward-looking framework designed to consolidate the NPP's base and prepare it for victory in the upcoming elections.
The event also featured symbolic gestures, including leading figures purchasing copies of the amended constitution, which drew applause from the gathering.
The launch concluded with renewed calls for members to rally behind the leadership, embrace the changes, and work collectively to advance the party's vision.
