Even before campaigns ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in constituencies with incumbent lawmakers heats up, a plot to set up the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Free Zones Authority Michael Okyere Baafi has been uncovered.

Mr. Baafi who has confirmed he will be contesting the New Juaben South seat on the ticket of the NPP in the Eastern Region is said to have himself unmasked the plot which was aimed at disgracing him and making him unfit for the race.

He declined giving MyNewsGh.com details of who is behind the whole diabolic agenda which was expected to be executed in his office in concert with some staff.

Pushed to point out who the culprits are, he said “my brother, this is politics and we are matured in the game. The important thing is that what was set out to destroy me just because of politics has been uncovered. I serve a living God and will praise him for protecting me all the time”.

Close sources however told this portal that the agenda was aimed at implicating the young politician in acts which are in sharp contravention of his official duties as head of the Free Zones Authority.
