Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, has expressed confidence in retaining his parliamentary seat if he chooses to run in the 2028 polls, stating that he believes no opponent would be able to defeat him unless he chooses not to contest.

He stated, "I am committed to serving in this seat and, by God’s grace, I do not foresee anyone contesting and winning against me unless I decide not to run again."

Okyere Baafi attributed his confidence to his track record of development and service to constituents.

“I believe this because of the kind of work I have done for my people. The people themselves can attest to it,” he said.

He encouraged voters to consider tangible achievements when making electoral decisions, rather than focusing solely on political rhetoric.

“In politics, people should not be carried away by sensationalism and emotions, but rather by real, evident work that benefits them,” he stated.

According to the MP, his political approach has consistently focused on improving livelihoods and driving development within the constituency.

“That has been my policy, delivering results that directly impact my people,” he noted.

He further emphasised that effective political leadership must centre on job creation and creating an enabling environment for citizens to thrive.

“A politician must create jobs and create the right ambience for people to thrive. Development projects should always be the priority,” he added.
