The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially constituted its Standing and Sector Committees following a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee and National Council held on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
In a statement dated May 8, 2026, the party explained that the Standing Committees were constituted pursuant to Article 10(2)(6) of the party’s constitution, while the Sector Committees were formed in accordance with Articles 10(3)(8) and 14(5).
The committees are expected to play key roles in shaping the party’s strategy, policy direction, communication, and preparations ahead of future political activities.

The committee consists of the finance, electoral affairs, disciplinary, policy, organisational, research, and foreign policy committees, among others.
In each of the sector committees, there are at least 5 members.
