AIK release Boateng for NICE game

Swedish side, AIK Stockholm has released Derek Boateng for the Black Stars? friendly game against French side, Nice, tomorrow.

Boateng was billed to play for Stockholm in their league game against Elfsborg today.

But coach Rickard Norling has decided to allow the player to join his colleagues in the national camp.

Rickard Norling explains that AIK would not hinder Boateng?s World Cup chances since playing at the competition would be a great thing for both the player and the club.

Boateng received rave reviews from the Ghana Football Association?s international relations officer, Tony Baffoe a couple of weeks back after a sterling performance in a league game.

The Ghanaian international had earlier missed the opportunity to play for the Black Stars in a similar friendly two weeks ago against German side, VFB Stuttgart after AIK officials blocked his invitation.
