Atta-Mills Foundation comes alive!

Believed to have been cast in the mode of his political mentor Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who “Never died”, it is coming to light that His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills of blessed memory too, will “Never die”.

Two months before July 24, 2013 - exactly one calendar year after the great Asomdwehene passed on to eternal glory, The Informer has laid hands on an official document that gives birth to the long-incubated John Evans Atta-Mills Memorial Foundation.

Per the concrete document (find attached) in the possession of The Informer, is the Certificate of Incorporation given under the hand of the Registrar of Companies, on the 19th Day of February, 2013.

According the wording on the face of the Certificate; “JOHN EVANS ATTA MILLS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION, is this day incorporated under the Companies Act, 1963 (Act 179) and that the liability of its members is limited by guarantee.”

From very credible information gathered, Dr. Cadman Atta Mills and Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills were behind the setting up of the Foundation, to rightly and properly honour the solid memory of their late brother and husband, respectively.

Per insider information, solemn activities are being lined up to herald the One-year Celebration of the life of a man who will forever be remembered for his selfless service to Mother Ghana, and who had also changed the vindictive face of Ghana’s politics.

According to The Informer’s sources, the Atta Mills Foundation will be launched either on the 21st or 24th of July, 2013.

The sources hinted that, some other groups are also interested in honouring the memory of President Atta Mills; so the Foundation will be working in close collaboration, to make the one year celebration a gargantuan one.

Snippets of credible extracts picked up have it that a celebrated academician who was a very close associate of the late Ghana’s President, and who lectures at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), will be delivering the first ever Atta Mills Memorial Lectures, which is expected to draw a very huge gathering from within Ghana and from abroad.

Few people knowledgeable of existence of the certificate giving life to the Foundation, have expressed boundless gratitude to the brother and wife of President Atta Mills, for working very hard to get the Foundation going.

Many of the personalities whose mind this paper picked, would not hide their joy as regards the Foundation becoming the strongest pivot around which the NDC party will evolve.

“There is no doubt that President Atta Mills gave a new face to the NDC and worked hard to rebuild the image of the party. For sure, some of us will forever see him as the man who is the new father of the NDC”. An elderly party stalwart told the Informer on condition of anonymity.

“Per the Party’s constitution, Jerry Rawlings is the Founder of the party; but President Mills, as far as, some of us are concerned, is the real Father of the party”; the elderly party stalwart added.

There is no denying the fact that the Atta Mills Foundation will give a lot of renewed energy to the NDC and resuscitate the dying spirit of the grassroots.

Physically, President John Evans Atta Mills is no longer with Mother Ghana, but there is no doubt that spiritually, he is alive and will forever be alive in the hearts of the millions who appreciate the Asomdwehene’s selfless commitment to building a Better Ghana.

Being a lover of Accra Hearts of Oak, which has as its motto “Never Say Die Until The Bones Are Rotten”; it is ipso facto that His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills will “NEVER DIE” because his “bones will never get rotten”.
