Tony Aidoo writes to Kweku Baako over 'Shit Bombing' incident

The Crusading Guide reports on its front page that Dr Tony Aidoo, Deputy Minister of Defence, has written a personal letter to the Editor-in-Chief of the Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako Jnr, denying knowledge about the recent "shit bombing" incident at the premises of the paper.

The paper quotes Tony as saying; "I do not shoot my enemies in the back. I have absolutely no knowledge of who did (or is/are behind) the act of throwing human excreta at your offices", he stated.

Tony Aidoo continued expressing innocence about the bizarre act, saying, "In joining the numerous voices of condemnation of the dastardly and cowardly act, I still maintain my stance that the upsurge of criminality in our country compels the combined counter-offensive of all citizens, politicians, journalist, etc. in the fight to make the country safe for all". He describes as unfortunate the timing of the incident "occurring at a time when your newspaper and I are engaged in a bitter conflict of integrity", the paper says.

The Deputy Defence Minister is reported by the paper to have lamented that the incidence had provided both his political adversaries and personal enemies the opportunity to defame him, adding that he had no intention of using the letter as a forum to state his case.

"Suffice to say that I have kept quiet over the past two weeks, in the belief that it is only through the legal process (and not the pages of newspapers) that the truth can be made the ultimate judge of guilt and innocence".
