Latest survey by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that overwhelming majority members of the NPP don't consider religious and ethnic affiliations important in the party's Flagbearership race.

Ethnic and religious commentaries have characterised the NPP Primaries campaign, with some of the aspirants urging delegates to consider dominant ethnic and religious groups in the NPP in their selection of Flagbearer for the party.

However, the Global InfoAnalytics, in an extensive analysis of its latest survey on the NPP Primaries, said majority of delegates don't see it as important, as the percentage in this category keeps growing.

"We asked them about the importance of religion; how important was it. 4% said it was important, neutral 5% and not important 91%," the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Musa Dankwa said.

He explained further that from their last survey, the percentage of those who said religion and ethnicity was key for them had also sharply declined.

"We have seen a sharp decline in those who say religion is not important. In the last period it was 13%. It is now down to 4%," he said.

Musa Dankwa added that the same figure also said ethnicity was not an important consideration, meaning 91% said it was not an important consideration, 5% remained neutral while 4% said it's important.
