Interim coach of Hearts of Oak Edward Nii Odoom insists he is capable of turning the tides at the club despite their poor start to the campaign.

The Phobians suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at Medeama on match day two of the Ghana Premier League to make it their worst start since the 2009/20 season.

”I have coached in Ghana for 30 years. I have handled different teams like Real Sportive and many others," he said after the game.

“This Hearts of Oak job is not beyond me at all. I am capable of doing the work well.”

Prince Opoku Agyeman scored a brace with Nana Kofi Babil netting the other to ensure the two times FA Cup winners extended their good record against the Accra giants.

The Rainbow club lost their opening game to Berekum Chelsea in Accra, a result that led to the sacking of coach Kim Grant.

They will next host Ebusua Dwarfs at home on match day 3.
