Enough is Enough, Gifty Afenyie-Dadzie

What was the former GJA President Ms Gifty Afenyie-Dadzie screaming about on Adom FM on 17th November 2004? Why was she so hard on the CPP Presidential Candidate, Mr George Opesika Agudey?

At least, Mr Agudey boldly and confidently went to the debate and stated what was on his mind about women and the criminal libel law. He did not run away or chicken out.

George Agudey showed enough respect to Ghanaians and the electorate by showing up for the debate. Kufuor, on the other hand disrespect us and behaved as if he is now superhuman. Kufuor will certainly pay the price for his total disregard and contempt for Ghanaians and the electorate in particular.

By the way, where was Gifty Afenyie Dadzie when Hackman Owusu Agyemang's bodyguard beat up, Mavis Turk son? Where was she when Sulemana Jeremiah took Mariama Tula's hard-earned money, the members of the National Security Office and members of the Vice-Presidents office? If she is a women's rights advocate, what has she done about the two cases of human rights abuse and fraud perpetual against two women by officials of the NPP government, and why has she maintained her loud silence over these women issues.

Ms Afenyie Dadzie should stop disturbing our ears. She should continue to enjoy her 'fees' from the many boards that she is a member of. She should continue to spin and lie for her NPP President and his corrupt and incompetent government. She should continue to hide behind religion and join the other NPP women in wailing for their masters and benefactors to stay in power, whiles the rest of the Ghanaian women and populace suffer in abject poverty and misery.

If by that unnecessary outburst against Agudey, Gifty Afenyie Dadzie is trying to stage a come back, then she is sadly mistaken. Ghanaians know that she used her position as GJA President to wage a propaganda war against the NDC in 2002.

Ghanaians know that she left the GJA divided. Ghanaians know that she has hijacked the women's Aglow for her selfish political interest. Ghanaian women know the part she plays behind the scenes in the infamous 'coffee shop Mafia' group. Why has she never responded to rumours that that she was using he Forex bureaux for money laundering activities? Could it be that those rumours were founded? Ghanaian women are aware of all these issues and they know women in our society who really mean well and champion their causes .We prefer a Presidential candidate, who is candid and speaks his mind (take it or leave it) to a President who dodges issues and creates a useless Women's Ministry to distribute money to NPP women and cronies. I hope this will be a 'food for thought' for Ms Afenyie Dadzie. Meanwhile, I suggest she keep her mouth shut because a woman's advocate, she is not

Thank you,
