Educationist donates to NDC secretariat

Hohoe, Jan. 9, GNA- Prince Kweku Hayibor, a 42-year-old educationist and an aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Hohoe North Constituency, on Thursday donated office items worth 1.5 million cedis to the party secretariat at Hohoe. The items included 10 plastic chairs, a ceiling fan, stationery, pens and a floor carpet.

Mr Hayibor called on supporters of the party in the constituency to contribute towards the running of the secretariat to enable them to retain the seat in this year's parliamentary elections. He advised them to embark on a house-to-house campaign to "educate the people to know of the economic hardships facing them due to the poor administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. They should also vote NDC back to power to enable it "to continue with its good economic policies".

Mr Hayibor urged party supporters to eschew petty squabbles and other divisive tendencies, which tended to damage the image of the party and remain steadfast.

Receiving the items, Mr Obed Aboagye, the constituency Chairman thanked Mr Hayibor for the gift and urged others to emulate him. He said the party was "leaving no stone unturned" to retain the seat and govern the country.

Mr Aboagye advised the supporters to close their ranks and work towards the party's victory.
