Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Aziz Tetteh has expressed his delight at news that the Turkish Super League is set for a return after a CoronaVirus induced break.
The Turkish top-flight which has been suspended since March 18 is set for a June 12 return following an announcement by the president of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Nihat Ozdemir.
The decision has triggered a state of joy across the football-crazy country with many expressing their elation.
Aziz Tetteh who plays for SuperLig side Gaziantep FK has also shared his joy at the news.
As captured in a Turkish local newspaper, the 29-year-old defensive midfielder said “Well, I am looking forward to it! Of course, I am excited, because we don’t like sitting home ! Football is our life !!! So I am very happy and looking forward to it!!!
Gaziantep FK are 9th on the SuperLig table after 26 matches on 32 points. Aziz Tetteh played 6 times in the league and will be hoping for more minutes when the season resumes.
