GCB MD sabotaging One-district One-factory - Analyst

Raymod Sowah, Managing Director of GCB Bank Raymod Sowah, Managing Director of GCB Bank

The Managing Director (MD) of state-owned Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Mr. Raymond Sowah has been accused of sabotaging the One-District One-Factory policy of the government.

"The MD we are told is refusing to release funds for the establishment of a fruit processing factory in Ashanti Region", Policy analyst, Mr. Frank Aboagye Danyansah alleged.

"Simple because there are some hands in government who have similar interest to own some factory in the region", he added.

According to him, credible information from GCB has that some Senior Staff including the MD are doing politics with the flagship policy at the expense of the masses who are in dire need of jobs.

"When I checked from all the sources, people are ready to establish a fruit processing factory in Kumasi which will give people jobs in this region but I find out that the MD is sabotaging the whole thing", the 2016 PPP parliamentary candidate revealed.

"If you think I am doing politics with this, you can check it from the leadership of the Citrus Farmers in the region", he told host of Nhyira FM's morning show Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

"People who are not card bearing members of New Patriotic Party (NPP are being denied to offer their contribution to the country's development", he fumed threatening to mention names of people in government influencing the MD.
