Stock index slips

Accra, June 10, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange slipped in trading on Wednesday with the main benchmark GSE All-Share index dropping by 3.74 points. The index closed down at 6,623.63 points from Tuesday's 6,627.37 points. Change for the year to date is -36.74 per cent. Traded volumes closed at 54,100 shares from 53,900 shares on Tuesday while market capitalisation was also poorer at GH¢16,151.99 from Tuesday's GH¢16,154.71 million. On the broader market, there were two price changes, both negative. State Insurance Company again lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.26 and Enterprise Insurance Company was down by GH¢0.03 from GH¢2.63
