GSE All-Share index rises on ETI gain

Accra, May 30, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, rallied 20.55 points to close at 5,193.58 points from 5,173.02 points on the back of gains by Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI).

Total shares traded closed the session at 67,500 shares down from 425,300 shares at the previous close on Tuesday. Change Year to date now stands at 3.34 per cent. On the broader market, there were five positive price changes. ETI gained 100 cedis at 11,450 cedis, Fan Milk Limited (FML) was up one cedi at 19,507 cedis and Ghana Commercial Bank went up by two cedis at 6,805 cedis.

Other gainers for the session were Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL) which advanced by one cedi at 9,455 cedis and Total Petroleum which went up by six cedis at 54,306 cedis.

Market capitalization ended the session at 114,132.03 billion cedis compared to 114,008.97 billion cedis.
