Main index slumps on SG-SSB, GGBL losses

Accra, June 27, GNA - The main stock index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) slumped in mixed trading on Tuesday. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, slumped by 10.83 points to 4,835.82 from 4,846.65 points and change for the year to date also dropped to 1.40 per cent.

On the broader market, there were two price changes - both losses. Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited lost one cedi at 9,838 cedis while SG-SSB was also down by 200 cedis at 6,800 cedis.

Traded volumes were higher at 860,500 from 28,900 shares while market capitalisation was lower at 95.581.86 billion cedis from 95,610.41 billion cedis.
