In a fast-paced and challenging environment, the adoption of technology has become the way to go for most key sectors of developing economies, like Ghana.

With the government already embarking on vigorous digitalisation agenda, some young Ghanaians are teaming up to also make great strides in the robotics and coding area, in line with this new national direction.

Coupled with STEM education across schools and universities, robotics engineering is equally gaining huge interests among young people.

The multidisciplinary field, which consists of electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering, deals with designing, building, operating, and engineering robots and robotic systems based on theoretical understanding and practical application.

Eugene Moyan, a robotics engineer, takes his turn on GhanaWeb TV’s BizTech, hosted by Mawuli Ahorlumegah, to share some insights on Ghana’s robotics space, and how individuals, particularly students, are adapting to the current times.

Moyan shares that Ghana is also among the top five countries in Africa when it comes to robotics development, adding that the country is ranked in the global list as well.
