iBurst Africa expands its base stations

Accra, Nov. 11, GNA - iBurst Africa, a broadband wireless internet service provider, has embarked on expansion of its base stations within the Accra and Tema metropolis to improve coverage and ensure that users receive more reliable service.

A statement from the company said the entire upgrade process, which commences immediately will last approximately two weeks and ultimately result in an enhancement of service delivery to users. The company said the overall objective was to enhance each user's internet usage experience and ensure that it was able to adequately support the increasing clientele. "We are happy to say that as a result of the superior service quality levels and the high standards that are our trademark, we are increasingly attracting a growing customer base," the company said in the statement.

The company, however, asked customers to expect minor disruptions of service during the period of the upgrade. "As you know however, technical upgrades generally come with some disruptions and as much as we expect to keep any interruptions to a minimum, iBurst Africa would like to apologize in advance to all our existing customers for any inconvenience caused," the statement added. iBurst Africa entered the Ghanaian market in March 2008 and its services are currently available in Accra and Tema. There are plans, however, to roll-out the services in the other major cities in the country.

It is envisaged that customers in Kumasi will begin to enjoy the company's services by December. 11 Nov. 08
