Accra bourse slides on Starwin loss

Accra, Oct. 21, GNA - The Accra bourse slid in trading on Friday on the loss of Starwin Products Limited (SPL) despite marginal gains by three equities.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, went down by 0.29 points to close the week at 4,888.67 points.

Change for the year was still deep in the red at -28.09 per cent. Traded shares were mere 53,700 while market capitalisation stood at 92,177.08 billion cedis.

On the broader market, SPL lost 20 cedis at 580 cedis, Aluworks Limited was five cedis better at 4,505 cedis, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was three cedis better at 7,515 cedis and Fan Milk Limited inched up by one cedi at 15,626 cedis.
