Ministry welcomes public input to budget formulation

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning intends to present the 2006 Budget Statement to parliament in November 2005. It is anticipated that parliament will debate the statement before the Christmas recess in December 2005.

The Ministry is inviting the general public ? individuals, trade associations, professional and religious bodies, and others - to make submission of ideas and contributions that may be considered during the process of formulating the Budget Statement.

Written submissions may be made through any of the following

? Office of Regional Ministers

? Office of Ghana's Missions abroad

Deadline for the submissions is the close of business on Wednesday 15 September 2005.
