Stock Index slumps as poor showing of bourse continues

Accra, June 3, GNA - The poor performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) continued on Friday with the benchmark GSE All-Share Index slumping by 19.56 points on the loss of Aluworks (ALW). The index went down to close at 6,033.06 points from 6,052.62 points on Wednesday.

Change for the year to date now stands at -11.26 per cent. There were two price changes, one up one down.

ALW lost 1,252 cedis at 5,000 cedis but CFAO gained two cedis at 352 cedis.

Market capitalisation was down at 95,004.26 billion cedis compared to 95,055.99 billion cedis on Wednesday. Traded volumes rose to 266,400 shares from 127,000 shares on Wednesday.
