Ghana’s leading indigenous oil marketing company, GOIL, has held its 2019 Dealers, and Distributors awards ceremony in Accra.

GOIL annually holds this ceremony to reward its hardworking dealers, supervisors and attendants from its 400 service stations countrywide, as well as long serving staff members of the company.

Awards were also given to the Best Zonal Dealers, Best LPG Dealers, Best Lubricant Distributors, Best Lubricant Dealers, Best HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment), National Best Forecourt Attendants, Best Lube Bay Attendants and Zonal Best Go-Café Attendants.

Group CEO and MD of GOIL, Kwame Osei Prempeh, stated that the work of the company’s cherished dealers, supervisors and pump attendants have been so instrumental in not only propelling the company’s expansion from 160 stations to 400 stations in 5 years, but also keeping GOIL as the no 1 oil marketing company in the country.

He also acknowledged the hard work of his predecessors and management of GOIL, in placing the company atop major corporate rankings over recent years.

“We couldn’t have achieved this far without the support of our dear dealers, supervisors, service station pump attendants and other stakeholders. GOIL says Ayekoo to all of you!”

He reiterated that GOIL, a company with Ghanaians at heart, endeavours to keep fuel prices at reasonable rates for consumers.

“GOIL has tried and will continue to do its best to keep prices at a level that would not unduly affect the driving public,” he assured.

Kwamena Bartels indicated that this year, strategies that GOIL has taken to diversify is notable in placing GOIL ahead of their time and urged all workers associated with GOIL to strive to complement the efforts of management.

“With respect to diversification I am glad to announce that our bitumen plant, our two gas plants, 1 in Tema, 1 in Kumasi, as well as our twelve storey head office building has been started,” he revealed.

The Chairman of the Association of Oil Marketing Companies Kwaku Agyemang Duah, praised GOIL’s keen interest in taking care of its human resource describing it as worth emulating.

“GOIL is not only becoming the oil marketing company of choice in the country but it is also becoming an organisation that everyone wants to work with,” he said.
