For the second time in a row, The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana (TCCBCG), which forms part of the Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company Group, was named “Manufacturing Company of the Year” at the Chamber Business Awards, organised by the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The coveted award, aimed at recognising excellence in manufacturing, demonstrates the company’s commitment to socio-economic development in the country and value creation for consumers.

Once again, the awards ceremony was held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel on the evening of November 17th. Present at the ceremony was His Royal Highness Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Omanhene of the Juaben Traditional Area & Chairman of the Council of State.

This year, the theme for the event was “Empowering the private sector to move Ghana beyond aid”, as the organization aspires to distinguish those businesses that make a significant contribution to the industrial sector of the nation and strengthen the local private sector.

As an industry leader, The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited has spent over two decades operating out of its Accra bottling plant and three strategically located depots in the cities of Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale. The company also stands out for its CSR initiatives, which have prompted notable improvements in sanitation, social empowerment and health in Ghana.

In the words of Seth Adu-Baah, Managing Director of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana, “We have seen with our own eyes the progress experienced throughout the region, and receiving this award twice in the past two years reminds us that our work has contributed to that development in a manner that is beneficial to all”.
