SEC sets governance code for listed companies

"Speaking to the Goldstreet Business at the inaugural trading of shares by MTN on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) in Accra, SEC’s Director-General, Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh, said it was important that listed companies take up the challenge to abide by the rules of disclosure and transparency."

What if the listed company fails to comply? We need mandatory public disclosure of traders of huge volumes of shares, especially involving insider trading!
What were the regulators doing when UT bank trading was suspended for not producing Annual reports and was relisted for trading when they still had NOT complied. The shareholders as well as the general public were left in the dark when huge trading volumes took place in the interim. It sounds like collusion between the bank and the regulators!
