Voltic Ghana Limited on Thursday empowered more than 100 stakeholders to develop sound financial practices and investment culture to create sustainable livelihoods.

The stakeholders, comprising distributors, wholesalers, retailers and franchises of the ‘Cool Pac’ sachet water, were educated on Credit Management, Financial Reporting, Tax Identification Number (TIN) Registration and Tax Amnesty.

The programme marked the second annual celebration of Financial Literacy Month of Voltic Ghana Limited on the theme: “Promoting Customer Financial Independence for a Secured Future.”

It formed part of a month long celebration, which include trade visits to interact with customers, finance departments, open day, employee in-house training on finance processes, and savings challenges.

The Reverend Daniel Torvinyo, the Country Finance Manager (Voltic), in an address, said the financial literacy month sought to equip key stakeholders with relevant skills, which would enhance their competitiveness and propel their businesses to greater heights.

He said the success of every business depended on a lot of critical factors including a solid capital base, quality product or service portfolio, and technology.

He expressed appreciation to customers for their loyalty adding, “We consider it a responsibility to nurture and build the capacity of our stakeholders both internally and externally, in line with the demands of our widening brand portfolio.

Rev. Torvinyo said: “This programme has come to stay and we look forward to more engagements with our publics in building a positive finance outlook.”

“As we make strides in business development, we are conscious of the need to carry our stakeholders along. We believe in working together with our customers and other stakeholders across our value chain with highest standards of integrity and accountability.”

Some of the participants, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the exercise had widened their knowledge in finance concepts as complex terms were relayed in simplest forms, which would have positive impacts on their businesses.

Ms Judith Annan Baidoo of Lizeff Ventures in Cape Coast lauded the company for the enlightenment that would create the much needed transformation in the business world to boost the economy.

The company used the opportunity to introduce its new products, which include Camparl, Chi, and Happy Hour to the participants.

Voltic has been producing and distributing water and soft drinks for the past 23 years, thereby becoming a household name in Ghana for refreshing consumers with quality drinking water.

Noted as one of the manufacturing giants in the water production industry, Voltic has, for over two decades, held the biggest market share in Ghana.
