This was at a special award ceremony at the EMS Cooperative General Assembly, Universal Postal Union (UPU) International Bureau in Switzerland.

The prestigious award was received on behalf of Ghana by Mr Jonathan Ansah, the Chief Commercial Officer of Ghana Post.

The EMS Customer Care Awards recognises the best Call Centres of EMS Best Cooperative Members.

The winners were selected on the basis of their performance last year by the EMS Cooperative Board.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday, Mr James Kwofie, the Managing Director of the Ghana Post Company, said Ghana Post had met the full eligibility criteria for the awards hence the timely recognition.

"We at Ghana Post, are more than honoured to receive this award since our Call Centre over the past years has demonstrated its commitment to providing excellent service to its worldwide partners in the EMS network based on the work done in the Rugby Global Customer Service System—RUGBY GLOBAL-CSS,” he said.

Mr Kwofie further stated that the award would make Ghana Post part of an exclusive group of operators within the EMS network.

He therefore urged the workers to give off their best and strive for more laurels for Ghana Post.
