David Prah appointed Director of Cooperate Affairs and Communications at NITA

The Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party David Prah has been appointed as the Director of Cooperate Affairs and Communications at the National Information Technology Agency (NITA).

Mr. David Prah is a graduate of University of Ghana with Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in Adult Education and majored in Programme Planning and Evaluation, Human Resource Development and Psychology. He had his Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Education, Winneba where he pursued Special Education with emphasis in Education of the Visually Impaired, Braille and Braille Mathematics, Home Economics and Physical Education as cognate course. He is a Trained Teacher and had his initialTeacher Training Education at Akrokerri Teacher Training College in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region with Teacher Certificate. Mr. David Prah had his Secondary and Junior High Education at Tarkwa Secondary and Aboso Methodist Junior Secondary schools respectively.

He has taught at all levels of education in the country and reach experience in Teacher Education with his last station at Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong Akuapem where he taught Educational Psychology and Pedagogy. He also lectured at both Bachelors and Diploma levels of Distance and Sandwich programmes for the University of Education, Winneba and the University of Cape Coast.

He once served as the Special Assistant to the former Deputy Minister of Defence Hon. W. O. Boafo, Akuapem North Municipal Youth Employment Coordinator and Akropong Constituency Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. David Prah is currently in charge of Quality Assurance and Compliance at the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET), the governing body mandated to coordinate and oversee Technical and Vocational Education in the country.

He has a great deal of experience in political Communications and has attended a number of national and international conferences in Cooperate Communications.

He is married to Mrs. Cornelia Prah with children. He is expected to bring his experience in communication and institutional quality assurance to bear to promote visibility of NITA. His appointment takes effect from August 2017.
