Businesses at Trade Fair Centre count their loss in gas explosion fire

Business entities located at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre in Accra, which were affected by Thursday’s gas explosion fire are counting their loss following the unfortunate incident.

The explosion at the Louis Gas Station behind the Trade Fair Centre at La resulted in the death of 5 persons while over 30 others sustained various degrees of injuries mostly body burns.

Apart from the human casualties businesses were also not spared in the infirno one of which is the Aid To Artisan Ghana (ATAG), a company that deals in artifacts. The firm lost several items running into thousands of cedis.

The company’s sales for the day was also consumed by the fire, with six employees sustaining body burns.
