Accra Bourse Inches Up In Poor Trading

The Accra bourse inched up on Monday despite poor trading that saw only 43,000 shares changing hands, down from 499,900 shares on Friday. The GSE All-Share Index went up by 2.34 points to 3,167.94 points from Friday's close of 3,165.60 points.

Change for the year was also up at 127.04 per cent from 126.87 per cent. There were five price changes, all positive.

Patterson Zochonis (PZ) and Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) led the way with 20 cedis gain each. PZ ended the day at 2,620 cedis while GGL ended at 4,860 cedis.

Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) was 10 cedis better at 7,110 cedis, SSB Bank gained nine cedis at 19,510 cedis and Home Finance Company (HFC) rose by seven cedis at 3,510 cedis.

Market capitalisation ended at 11,643.19 billion cedis from 11,637.29 billion cedis.
