The Bosomtwe Rural Bank Limited, with its head office at Kuntanase in the Bosomtwe district of the Ashanti Region, has officially opened the Aputuogya Agency in a brief but colourful ceremony at Aputuogya. This brings to eleven the number of branches currently being operated by the bank.

The branches are Kuntanase, Kokofu, Trede, Jachie and Atonsu Agogo; and the rest are Atonsu Bokro, Afia Kobi Market in Kumasi; Atwima Amanfrom, Edwenase, Ahenema Kokoben and the newly inaugurated Aputuogya agency.

The bank continues to embark on branch expansion by moving into new territories, with an advanced preparation to open the twelfth agency at Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya district.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Philip Bondah reiterated the primary purpose of siting a branch at Aputuogya -- for the petty traders and the market women to take advantage of the bank’s tailor-made products to expand their businesses.

He assured customers and prospective ones of the bank’s superior customer services by bringing technologically-driven banking to the people’s doorsteps.

Mr. Bondah pledged that the bank will bring on board considerable corporate social responsibility packages to Aputuogya and its surrounding communities.

The Ashanti Regional branch Manager of ARB Apex Bank, Mr. George Annor who represented the Managing Director, praised the bank for their sterling operational performance over the years.

He advised management and staff of the branch to uphold excellent customer service, since the competition in the banking industry has become very keen. This, according to him, will enable the bank to retain loyal customers and win the confidence of potential and existing ones.

The National Vice President of the Association of Rural Banks -- who is also the representative of the Ashanti Chapter on the Apex Board -- Dr. Philip Yaw Amakye advised the board, management and staff as well as customers of the bank to play their respective roles more efficiently toward the bank’s continuous growth.

He advised customers to be very meticulous when choosing a financial institution to do business with, and make a conscious effort to pay back loans they take from the bank.
