So the deal is only for 295 Scanias which again have no maintenance base in the country. But at least Scania is part of the VW group which is blocked from paying bribes by law and internal regulations.
However, if one would follow up on the details of the deal several layers of "in betweens" would be found where a sufficient amount of the buying price is siphoned away into the always same pockets. Poor Ghana falls victim to its own leaders again and again.
