The Board of the Ghana Commercial Bank Ltd. has confirmed Mrs. Matilda Obeng-Ansong as Managing Director of the bank with effect from January 1, 2003. A statement issued in Accra yesterday by the bank said, Mrs Obeng-Ansong who was appointed by the board in September 1999 as Deputy Managing Director, has been acting as Managing Director since April, this year.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Economics. She joined the Bank in 1969
