I dedicate my award to Finatrade and all Ghanaians - Moukarzel

Mr Nabil Moukarzel, Chairman of the Finatrade Group of Companies, has dedicated ‘the best entrepreneur award in food and agribusiness he won on Saturday to all workers of his outfit and the people of Ghana.

“This feat had been achieved through the hard work of the employees and the support of the people of Ghana for our survival and progress over the years,” he said.

Mr Moukarzel, who was speaking with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation awards, said the award would spur them on to expand their projects to create more jobs and increase revenue for the government of Ghana.

The Finatrade Group of Companies is engaged in manufacturing, distribution of agricultural commodities and services such as rice, sugar, cocoa, frozen foods.

They are also engaged in estate development, suppliers of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages within the country and neighbouring West African Countries.

Currently, the companies, made up of CCTC, Davenport, Akuafo Adamfo, Rice Masters among other companies, have provided over 2,000 direct jobs to Ghanaians working in their subsidiaries throughout the country.

The Chairman said they would also work in collaboration with government towards the eradication of poverty by creating jobs that would cater for all categories of people in the country.

Mr John Awuni, Corporate Affairs Director of the Group, who received the award on behalf of his chairman, said the award was in recognition of the hard work and assiduous performance of the companies under the group,

He said they would work harder to make Finatrade a household name throughout in Ghana in the coming years.
