Canadian entrepreneur to visit Ghana

Accra, June 7, GNA - Charles Sirois, the founder of Enablis Entrepreneurial Network, is expected in Ghana on Wednesday for a two-day visit during which he would interact with the business community, policy makers and members of the Enablis Entrepreneurial Network in Ghana.

Enablis is a membership-based organization that believes that the entrepreneur is the key to successful SME business.

The organisation therefore supports members to be successful business owners by sharpening their personal skills, problem solving capacity, creativity, integrity and business acumen.

The global non-profit organisation began operations in Ghana in October, 2009 and currently has over 130 members who benefit from regular training based on a unique plan for each member designed to take them to the next level.

It also has designed unique funding vehicles exclusive for its members that focus on filling the financing gap that confronts entrepreneurs. One of Ghana's outstanding entrepreneurs, Mr. Tony Oteng-Gyasi, is the Board Chairman of Enablis Ghana.

Mr Oteng-Gyasi, who is the Managing Director of Tropical Cable and Conductors, described the visit of Sirois as significant and an indication of the level of interest that international businessmen and philanthropists had in the Ghanaian economy.

He said the benefit that would accrue to Ghana from the duty tour of the Enablis Founder, who also chairs the second largest bank in Canada, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, would be enormous.

Mr. Sirois is also a leading figure in telecommunications after founding and chairing a number of such companies in Canada.

While in Ghana, Mr Sirois will have a business breakfast meeting with the executive business community on Wednesday to be attended by Trade and Industry Minister, Ms Hanna Tetteh, and the Board of Enablis Ghana.

He would also meet members of Enablis Ghana and visit some entrepreneurs.

Mr. Sirois would then call on the Chief Executive of UT Bank, Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng.
