Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Julius Debrah, is set to lead Ghana's efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen economic ties with Canada as Special Guest of Honour at the 2026 Ghana-Canada Investment Forum scheduled for June 15 in Toronto.

The high-level forum, which will take place at the Westin Harbour Castle Conference Centre in Toronto, is expected to bring together investors, business leaders, policymakers, and development partners from both countries to explore strategic investment opportunities and foster partnerships aimed at supporting Ghana's economic transformation agenda.

The event, organised by Stratcomm Africa in partnership with Toronto-based Kwakaf International, will spotlight Ghana's 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+), a flagship initiative designed to boost industrialisation, exports, job creation, and productivity.

According to the organisers, discussions at the forum will focus on how Canadian investors and businesses can partner with Ghanaian enterprises and institutions to take advantage of opportunities emerging under the government's economic reset agenda.

Julius Debrah is expected to engage investors and business leaders on Ghana's investment prospects and efforts to create an enabling environment for business growth and sustainable economic development.

The forum will also be chaired by the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, while Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Gyakye Quayson, will deliver the keynote address.

A major highlight of the event will be a Deal Room Session facilitated by Canadian investment firm ThirdWay Capital.

The session is expected to connect investors with growth-ready Ghanaian businesses and provide a platform for discussions on investment opportunities across key sectors of the economy.

Speaking ahead of the event, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Esther A. N. Cobbah, expressed optimism about the forum's potential to strengthen economic relations between Ghana and Canada.

"There are tremendous opportunities to build on the historic ties between Ghana and Canada," she said.

"We are excited to be joining forces with Kwakaf International and the various national agencies for this event."she added.

She further noted that the timing of the forum presents a unique opportunity to showcase Ghana on the international stage.

"Occurring on the sidelines of the first World Cup match of the Black Stars, we look forward to multiple successes of Team Ghana in Canada in this month of June," she stated

Organisers say the event will also provide participants with valuable insights into Ghana's 24-Hour Economy policy and its potential to transform the country's industrial and export sectors while creating new opportunities for international investors.

Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), the lead sponsor of the forum, is supporting the initiative as part of its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, investment, and long-term economic growth in Ghana.

With the event taking place during the FIFA World Cup period, organisers believe it will attract a diverse international audience and create an ideal platform for building strategic partnerships that will deepen trade and investment cooperation between Ghana and Canada.
