The President of the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), Davies Narh Korboe, has emphasised that Ghana possesses all the essential resources needed to achieve food self-sufficiency and compete globally in agriculture.

Speaking ahead of the third edition of the Ghana Horticulture Expo 2026, scheduled to take place from June 11 to June 13, 2026, Korboe highlighted the country’s fertile lands, favourable climate, and hardworking people as key foundations for building resilience in food security.

“Ghana possesses the land, the people, the climate, and the potential to feed itself and compete globally. Agricultural self-reliance is not merely an economic ambition; it is a national responsibility. Through innovation, partnerships, and strategic investments, we can build a Ghana that grows what it consumes and exports what the world demands,” he stated.

His remarks capture the core vision of the Expo — a call for collective action, national pride, and strategic investment in Ghana’s agricultural future.

From Thursday, June 11 to Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Forecourt of the State House in Accra will host the 3rd Ghana Horticulture Expo, a premier gathering aimed at redefining the future of agriculture and agribusiness in Ghana.

Organised by FAGE in collaboration with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and the Ghana Export-Import Bank (Ghana Exim Bank), the Expo will bring together farmers, exporters, agribusinesses, investors, development partners, researchers, policymakers, students, and consumers under the theme: “From Soil to Sovereignty: Building Ghana’s Agricultural Self-Reliance through Innovation.”

Building on the success of previous editions, the 2026 Expo is expected to be bigger, more impactful, and more transformative. At a time when global food systems continue to face increasing pressure, Ghana stands at a critical moment in its agricultural development journey.

Despite the country’s abundant agricultural resources, significant opportunities within the horticultural sector remain untapped.

The Expo seeks to provide a strategic platform to promote innovation, value addition, export growth, investment opportunities, and sustainable agricultural development.

Over the three-day event, participants will experience vibrant exhibitions featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, processed products, greenhouse technologies, irrigation systems, agritech innovations, packaging solutions, and export-ready commodities.

In addition, the Expo will feature business-to-business networking sessions, market linkages, and policy discussions aimed at strengthening Ghana’s agricultural value chain and positioning the country as a competitive player in the global horticultural market.

Beyond the exhibitions and business opportunities, the Ghana Horticulture Expo 2026 aims to inspire hope, empower young entrepreneurs, and demonstrate that agriculture remains one of the strongest pathways to economic growth, job creation, food security, and national development.

As Ghana continues its journey toward agricultural sovereignty and export excellence, the 3rd Ghana Horticulture Expo 2026 stands as a bold and timely initiative to transform potential into prosperity.
