Founder of GN Savings and Loans, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has broken his silence on social media following the Court of Appeal’s decision to restore the company’s operating licence, ending years of legal and regulatory dispute.
The ruling marks a major turning point in the long-running battle between GN Savings and Loans and the Bank of Ghana over the revocation of its licence during the financial sector clean-up exercise in 2018.
The court also ordered the return of the company’s assets and directed the Receiver to hand over management back to the original leadership.
Shortly after the verdict, Dr Nduom shared a message on his official Facebook page, accompanied by a photo of the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.
In the post, the businessman quoted scripture before hinting at a fresh beginning for the company.
He wrote, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11.
He added, “We will be hitting the road very soon. Time to fix what’s broken and start work.”
The post comes after he previously described the past seven years as “very, very difficult,” thanking his family, loyal employees, and God for standing by the company throughout the prolonged legal struggle.
