Dubai Chamber of Commerce has led a 19-company trade mission to Ghana as part of efforts to deepen economic ties between the two markets, with non-oil trade between Dubai and Ghana reaching AED 39.6 billion in 2025.

The mission formed part of the chamber’s “New Horizons” initiative, which supports the expansion of Dubai-based companies into emerging global markets.

The delegation includes firms operating in sectors such as automotive, construction, electronics, engineering, fast-moving consumer goods, food and beverages, mining and metals, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and packaging.

As part of the visit, the chamber organised bilateral business meetings and a “Dubai-Ghana Business Connect” forum in Accra, bringing together business leaders, government officials, and private sector players to explore partnership opportunities.

The forum was supported by the UAE Embassy in Ghana, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).

Speaking at the event, Dubai Chambers’ Executive Vice President of International Relations, Salem AlShamsi, said the mission aims to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between both countries and open new opportunities for Dubai companies in Ghana.

He added that the initiative supports Dubai’s strategy to expand non-oil trade and strengthen private sector growth in emerging markets.

Data from Dubai Chamber of Commerce shows that 225 Ghanaian companies are now active members, with 16 new registrations recorded in the first quarter of 2026.

Officials at the forum also highlighted Ghana’s position as a gateway to the West African market, with access to a regional population of over 400 million people.

The engagement is expected to further strengthen commercial relations between Ghana and Dubai, particularly in logistics, construction, manufacturing, and investment services.
