Industry analysts attribute these increments to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have disrupted global supply chains and driven international petroleum prices higher.
Refined product prices on the global market have surged significantly with diesel up by 43%, LPG by 23.96% and petrol up by 19.41%.
Crude oil prices also spiked in mid-March 2026, rising from $71.41 to $86.55 per barrel, further fueling the upward trend in local pump prices.
