A number of key players in the business sector grabbed top honours at the GhanaWeb Excellence Awards, which was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Among the business moguls who won awards is billionaire investor and owner of Bills and Quick Angels Limited, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, who grabbed the GhanaWeb Excellence in Humanitarian Award for his humanitarian works, including the establishment of food banks across the country for the poor and needy.

He beat Dr Ato Brown, Esther Agyemang Badu, Selina Bentoom and Hawa Mutawakilu to the award.

Another business tycoon who was honoured at the ceremony is billionaire Ibrahim Mahama, the founder of Engineers and Planners and brother to President John Dramani Mahama.

Ibrahim Mahama was adjudged GhanaWeb Most Influential Personality, beating Akosua Dentaa Amaoteng, Dr Abubakar Millah, Theresa Ayoade and Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon (Wode Maya) to the award.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Manet Incorporated, Dr Theresa Oppong-Beeko, who is regarded as the second richest woman in Ghana, grabbed the GhanaWeb Excellence in Real Estate Development award.

She beat Robert Owusu Sekyere, Joe Leslie Obeng-John, Dr Prince-Joseph Ayiku, Dr Theresa Oppong-Beeko and Impel Properties to the award.

Another big winner at the event was Nana Kojo Safo, Chief Executive Officer of Kantanka Automobile, who grabbed the Ghana Excellence in Tech and Innovation honours.

5. Ghana Excellence in Health Care - Dr Benson Owusu Atuahene, a medical doctor

6. Ghana Excellence in Tech and Innovation - Nana Kojo Safo, Chief Executive Officer of Kantanka Automobile

7. Ghana Excellence in STEM - Prof Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana

8. Ghana Excellence in Youth Empowerment - Esther Agyemang Badu, a sports journalist

9. Ghana Excellence in Music, Drama and Dance - Prosper Dossey, a musician

10. Ghana Excellence Hospitality Management - Abeiku Santana, media personality and Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority.

11. Ghana Excellence of Fashion and Lifestyle - Gabby Gokah, a fashion designer

12. Ghana Excellence in Media and Communication - Kemini Amanor, a media personality

13. Ghana Excellence in Business Development - Tsonam Cleanse Akpeloo, an economist and technology entrepreneur

14. Ghana Excellence in Agriculture - Isaac Kofi Nketiah, co-founder of Shamfield Ventures.

15. GhanaWeb Excellence in Real Estate Development - Dr Theresa Oppong-Beeko, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Manet Incorporated

16. GhanaWeb Excellence in Leadership - Dr Dziffa-Bella Imelda Ofori-Adjei, paediatric ophthalmologist at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

17. GhanaWeb Excellence in Entrepreneurship - Addia Asamoah Peter, AAEA Africa Regional Director

18. GhanaWeb Excellence in Humanitarian - Richard Nii Armah Quaye, billionaire and Ghanaian business mogul

19. GhanaWeb Most Influential Personality - Ibrahim Mahama, billionaire and Ghanaian business magnate

20. GhanaWeb Organisational Excellence Award - Zoomlion Ghana Limited
