Tamale poised to ‘Go for Gold’

Accra, 23rd September 2010 - On the wave of the recently ended ‘Go for Gold’ train in Kumasi, Fidelity Bank’s Sales Ambassadors are headed for Tamale in order to prove the bank’s commitment to all Ghanaians. The ‘Go for Gold’ train is a part of the ongoing promotion by Fidelity Bank aimed at inculcating a savings culture in Ghanaians and allowing them to win exciting prizes including the grand prize; a 24 carat, 1 kg bar of gold. Other exciting prizes including iPods, BlackBerry phones, Home Theatres, jewelry sets and trips to destinations in Africa.
The Head of Sales and Product Development at Fidelity Bank, Joseph Okyere Opoku said that Tamale residents, like the rest of the country, should be poised for the opportunity to win the exciting prize of a bar of gold. ‘We are excited about our new Tamale branch and would like to assure Ghanaians that we are always thinking of our customers. Tamale residents can also win the coveted prizes by opening accounts with us. The most exciting part of it all is that a culture of savings spreads throughout the nation.’
The ‘Go for Gold’ Promotion was launched officially in Accra in August with the aim of enabling Ghanaians to save for a secure and comfortable financial future and offering them exciting prizes to reward their success.
The ‘Go for Gold’ Train was recently in Accra, Tema and Kumasi and the Fidelity Sales Ambassadors were well positioned to respond to questions about the promotion and the bank as well as to enlighten customers on the account opening process.
Fidelity Bank is a Ghanaian Bank aimed at understanding and meeting the needs of the Ghanaian customer. The ‘Go for Gold’ train aims to touch as many parts of Ghana as possible, availing all Ghanaians access to the opportunity to enjoy world-class banking and win prizes.
In order to stand a chance to win the grand prize, customers can open an account with any of Fidelity Bank’s 19 branches nationwide, including the recently opened Tamale branch. They will then be required to deposit and maintain a balance of GHC 300 or multiples of it in order to qualify for the monthly and grand draws. Existing customers simply need to maintain a balance of 300 or multiples of it to qualify. The ‘Go for Gold’ Promotion lasts six months from August 2010 to March 2011.
