Vodafone brings mobile prepaid tariff to eight Ghana pesewas

Accra, Sept. 7, GNA - The management of Vodafone Ghana has has introduced a

new product that offers the lowest mobile tariff in the Ghanaian telecommunications

industry. A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday by the Corporate Communications

Department said it was the first time that call rates had hit such bottom lows. The offer, available to prepaid customers, can be activated by dialling 8080 to

register and costs eight Ghana pesewas. Subsequently, callers would have to pay only eight Ghana pesewas per minute to all

networks with calls charged per second. Customers who do not register for the new tariff will remain on the standard tariff

of 14.40 Ghana pesewas. The statement said management would embark on a major communications and

educational drive to enable all segments of society make the most informed choice. "Free Night Calls still apply while international and calls from Vodafone land lines

are charged at standard rates. The new tariff cannot be used in conjunction with the

current Talk n Talk Promotion," it added.
