MTN signs partnership with Accra Vendors

Accra, Nov. 1, GNA- MTN, one of the leading mobile telecommunication service providers on Saturday signed a sales partnership agreement with Grater Accra News Agents and Vendors Association (GANAVA) to enable vendor's sell MTN products. "The partnership will permit our subscribers buy recharge cards, starter packs and other products from at the various Vendors", Mr Ebenezer Asante, Sales and Distribution Executive of MTN said at an inaugural ceremony in Accra.

He said under the contract, a vendor could also make an average of about 80 percent monthly from the sales of recharged cards. Mr Asante said for MTN to achieve its aim of providing high standard telecommunication service to Ghanaians there was the need to make its products available at the door-step of its customers hence the partnership.

He said the joint venture was an extension of the healthy relationship the company had nurtured with the Ghana Journalist Association who are stakeholders of GANAVA.

Mr Stephen Kobina Egon, Chairman of GANAVA thanked MTN and assured the associations' preparedness to working with the company. He said aside the 300 vendors in Accra other members of the association had expressed readiness to act as point of sales for MTN.
