Brisk trading on Ghanaian bourse

Accra, Jan. 30, GNA - There was brisk trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) on Friday when 2.5 million shares of TRANSOL changed hands out of the total 2,565,100 shares that were traded. The GSE All-Share Index, main market indicator, inched up by 0.08 points to close trading at 6,718.96 points on GH¢ 0.0001 gain each by three equities.

Change year to date now stands at 1.81 per cent. The three equities which gained GH¢ 0.0001 each on the broader market were Cal Bank that closed trading at GH¢ 0.5061; Ecobank Ghana Limited at GH¢ 2.1751 and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited at GH¢ 1.2341.

Market capitalisation went up to GH¢ 12,513.10 million from GH¢ 12,513.05 million on Thursday.
